Kingdom Reproduction

Many of God's people stay miserable because they do not produce fruit. Jesus said He came that we might be able to have life and life more abundantly. But He also said that He is the vine, and you and I are the branches. If a branch does not bear fruit, He cuts it off. Now being cut off does not necessarily mean that you are dead, but it certainly does mean that you are not living the life He promised if you are cut off from Him.

Do I Really Trust God

What a great question. Some of us ask that question because we really doubt ourselves. For others this message is a word of caution on how to deal with life in an every changing world and an evolving society. When we see these changes, it is easy to have moments of doubt. It is easy for us to try and fix things or correct a situation instead of trusting God to work on our behalf. No matter where you stand, this message of hope is for you.

Hanging On By A Thread

Have you ever felt like you were just hanging on by a thread? Has life periodically dealt you so many bad hands in a row that you just felt like you were quickly reaching the end of your endurance? Well of course you have. That's life. Be you saved or not saved, life happens. We are not promised to be immune from circumstances that are bound to happen in a broken and lost world.

This message addresses that fact. Hanging On By A Thread is meant to lift you up and give you strength to make it through to the end.

A Dwelling Place

I looked through the bible searching for instances where God said He would visit us. And they are there. But usually it involved God coming to get on to His people. He was visiting because He found He could no longer live there. Search that out yourself. But I am not looking for a visitation from God, and I believe that God is not looking for a visitation with us. I believe that God is looking for a dwelling place.

When you search out a dwelling place, you are not looking for a place to just hang out for a few nights. You are looking for a place that you can kick your feet up and call home.

Defeating Fear

Associate Pastor Jake Tijerina delivers this message about how to defeat fear. Fear is not of God. Many emotions are, but fear is not one of them. He explains and expounds on this in the below video.

Fighting Back

Spiritual Warfare is inevitable. Why? Because there are two opposing kingdoms. There is the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of his enemy Satan. Those two kingdoms will never get along, and they will never be benevolent towards each other. Guess what... We are a part of that conflict, even though we may not be seeking to be a part of that conflict. Recognizing that fact, many christians choose to engage in that conflict. After all, if I am in the battle, shouldn't I fight back?

We have been taught many types of spiritual warfare though out Christianity. I find, however, that we all too often complicate the strategy of fighting. This message will strengthen your faith for the fight and show that we have won this before we engage.

Great strategy comes from God and there is more than enough proof in God's grace that we win!

The war is raging. The battle is fierce. Victory is assured but we are still FIGHTING BACK!

Adore Him

“Holy, Holy, Holy, Is the Lord God Almighty, Who was, and is, and is to come.
With all creation I sing, Praise to the King of Kings! You are my everything
and I will adore You…”

We sing the Revelation Song a lot at our church; we love this song because it draws such a magnificent picture of Heaven for us. Who doesn’t want to see rainbows made of living colors? As we sang this Sunday night I heard the word “adore” rolling over and over in my spirit, what does it mean to adore someone anyway?

We talk about adoring God, our new baby or grandbaby, the dog, the cat…I really want to know what that word means, I don’t want to use it out of context anymore; surely I can’t feel the same about my cat as I do about my Savior. According to Webster’s to adore someone is:
  1. To worship with profound (deep) reverence (devotion); to address with exalted (high) thoughts, by prayer and thanksgiving; to pay divine (godlike) honors (tribute) to; to honor as a god or as divine.
  2. To love in the highest degree; to regard (respect) with the utmost (highest) esteem (appreciation), affection and respect; as, the people adore their prince.
Jesus, Prince of Peace, You are my everything and I will adore You!

"Big Mouth For Jesus" - Free Puppet Skit

The following is a free puppet skit for other christian churches and organizations to use. You are free to use these, and even alter the dialogue to fit your own puppets personality, but redistribution in any form is expressly prohibited without written permission from Living Faith Church.

This particular skit is based on Mathew 28:19-20

You’ve Got a BIG Mouth!

Song: (singing) Matthew 28:19 and 20 that’s the great commission.

Amerikus: Matthew 28:19 and 20 says to go soul fishing.

Bob: Hey, we just sang that song earlier. What’s it really all about anyway?

Song: It’s about using your BIG MOUTH, that’s what it’s about!

Bob: That’s not nice! You shouldn’t tell people that they have big mouths! All I want to know is what the song is about. I mean, how do you go soul fishing anyway?

Song: Oh, that’s easy! Like it totally means that we’re supposed to tell people about Jesus!

Bob: What are we supposed to tell them?

Amerikus: We are sposed to tell them about how Jesus loves them.

Bob: Okay, what else?

Song: Tell people about how Jesus did miracles and things.

Bob: Okay….what else?

Amerikus: About how Jesus died for their sins. Like ya totally gotta tell people about that part!

Bob: Okay, let me see, Jesus loves us, He did miracles and stuff and He died for our sins…Hmmmm

Song: OMG!! Like I totally forgot about the most important part! I can’t believe I forgot the part where Jesus, oh this is great, He was dead for three whole days and on that third day He came back for the dead!

Bob: Like a ghost or something? But Jesus isn’t a ghost!

Amerikus: No, Jesus isn’t a ghost, He totally dominated death and hell and took the keys to hell! Then, He totally got up out of that tomb and that made it where we can be saved!!!

Bob: So that’s why we get to go to Heaven huh?

Song: TOTALLY! All we gotta do is ask Jesus to live in our hearts and we get to go to Heaven! Is that awesome or what?

Bob: That is awesome! But how is that soul fishing?

Amerikus: (big sigh) Really? The soul fishing is when you tell people all of those great things and then they totally want Jesus to be in their hearts and they get saved then they tell their friends about Jesus and it just goes on and on and on and on and on!

Bob: Hmmm, okay, now I’ve got what you’re saying! So that’s why you’re saying to use my big mouth! You thing we should have big mouths for Jesus!

Song: that’s exactly what I’ve been saying! You’ve got a big mouth and you’ve gotta spread the word about Jesus by putting that big mouth into action! See? That’s not so hard, is it?

Bob: Nope! So now I’m gonna go ask God to help me see the times that I can use my big mouth for Him! Cool, great! I think I’ll write a new rap song about being a big mouth for God! Gotta go!

Amerikus & Song: Matthew 28:19 and 20 that’s the great commission! Matthew 28:19 and 20 says to go soul fishing!

Song: Hope we have a great big catch today! (exits humming to herself)

Being Filled With God

We are being offered the infilling of the Holy Spirit which is the fullness of God. This statement can cause alarm in the church because of its controversial implications. The scripture is clear that we are vessels of honor for God. We are to be full of Him! Let us explore this and see if it is for you!

Looking Through The Keyhole

We receive redemption and freedom from the chains of the enemy in an instant then spend the rest of our lives putting a different set of chains tighter than the last on us by refusing the seat given us by God. This false humility has cost us a lifetime of miraculous effect on this earth. Countless millions have gone through life with no real contact with God's power because we have not sit down!!

It is time to take your seat and begin a supernatural lifestyle. No more "preferring" your brother. Pick up your position and  cause the earth to know God by demonstration.

The Gospel

Nothing has the potential to bring true life like the Gospel. Jesus gave us an example for living an extraordinary life. He came for us; he died for us and lives again for us! This is the Gospel! We are
to tell the Gospel and we must live the Gospel. Fulfilling the great commission is simply living out
what God has done through Jesus Christ! Let’s explore “The Gospel” together.

The God In You And Not The God On You

This week Senior Associate Pastor Jake Tijerina uses a great illustration with Samson to compare having God in you versus having God come on you.

A Word of Hope for 2012

Every New Year it is expected of us to look into the future and give a good prediction of what will be coming! Well, I will do my best! It seems that the truth of looking into the next year and finding some “word from God” is that I have seen so many words fall and die in the first few months due to a lack of the “from God” part!
I will say this…this year will be mostly what you make it to be. Your decisions and your dreams will bring to pass most all of what you see happen! I know the part that God plays in our lives and I have come to this conclusion. I am a product of my faith and my works. God will gladly shower me with his blessings and allow me to flourish in them. He will not force me to prosper! It has been proven that a lazy man goes hungry in all aspects of his life. Slothfulness causes many to suffer unnecessarily.

If I were to bring a word of hope for 2012 it would have to read like this:

1. May you have the strength to finish!

2. May you hear God clearly!

3. May you choose your footsteps wisely!

4. May you hold tightly to friends!

5. May you let go of enemies!

6. May you see your mistakes and correct them quickly!

7. May you rest in your success and lay aside your failures.

8. May your nights be quiet and days be productive!

9. May your back hold the load and your mind release it!

10. May laughter come from your thoughts and be released through your mouth!

Come on let’s make this the best year ever! You and God will make a great partnership. All together for the Kingdom of God! I am looking forward to the next series of challenges that we will overcome together. This year brings a renewed challenge to see the miracles of Heaven collide with the needs of Earth! Healings, Deliverance and Recoveries in the Name of Jesus!
Look out all of you who think we as Christians are finished. We have only just begun to see the mighty works of our God revealed in the Earth. I will be a huge part of bringing the power of the Kingdom of our God into the Earth this year!

Be Blessed in Christ as never before!

Overcoming the Debilitating Lies of the Enemy

Truth becomes power when lies are revealed. Seeing our enemy for what he is and seeing ourselves for what we are becomes a powerful weapon in the Kingdom of God. This message will equip you with truth to engage the enemy on his own turf and show victory as achievable.
