The Star Is Still Shining

Recently, the Holy Spirit prompted me to reread the birth of Jesus. So, I opened to the first and second chapters of Mathew and as I read chapter 2 the words began to jump off the page at me.  It is a wonderful experience when the word of God comes alive. I never want to take for granted just reading scriptures without it coming alive. When, this happens I feel like I am right there in the moment and really connecting with what I am reading. I know that reading can stir up emotions, but, reading the word of God for me goes beyond my emotions. This is a regular occurrence, those that know me well can testify on how Acts chapter 2 has a very profound way of coming alive to me as I read it. All, I can say, is the bible speaks to my spirit, my heart, and develops the core values of what I choose to believe. It is Powerful!

In regards to Mathew chapter 2, I found myself relating to the Wise Men in their search for what they had seen. They were following a sign, in this case a Star. In my past I have been guilty of not following a God given sign.  Maybe you have done the same? That thing that you knew God was leading you too, but, you just ignored it. I began to think what if these wise men stopped in their pursuit of following the Star? They had to journey far; their journey even took them right into the enemy’s camp of King Herod, yet, they continued on. Their passion to fulfill their journey in following the Star was so great it provided this wonderful testimony to what they truly believed in. If they could just get to the place where the Star was leading them too they would see the King of the Jews, the Christ whom had been prophesied. This journey cost them time, money, and reputation. Maybe, God has been leading you with signs for what you have believed? But, because the journey has been too long, too costly, or met with opposition you have stopped. I want to encourage and exhort you to get back up. Get back on the journey, and keep following the Star because the Star is still shinning. Or maybe you have received what you have believed for and have just sat down. Either way, rejoice, because Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords was born, lived, died, resurrected, is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us, and will return again! Take time this Christmas to celebrate the greatest gift given to mankind, Jesus Christ our King. Declare that this coming New Year of 2012 is your time to reach your destination for your healing, prosperity, deliverance, & all the heavenly rewards. Even as it was prophesied and promised many years before the Wise Men saw the Star shinning, that Christ would be born and it was fulfilled, so will your prophecy and God’s promises come to pass if you continue on the journey.
Mat 2:9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold; the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.

Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.

Mat 2:11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. NKJV
